An internationally known expert in the Natural Killer, or NK cell immunotherapy, Dr. Miller has worked for 20 years to bring research discoveries to the clinic setting to improve patient outcomes. Dr. Miller is leading new efforts to apply NK cell therapies that have been successful against acute leukemia to solid tumors such as breast cancer, ovarian cancer and lymphoma. His nominator heralded his work: “His research efforts have broadened the reputation of University of Minnesota Medical Center, enhanced recruitment to the blood and marrow transplant program, and most importantly, has defined new therapeutic approaches for these devastating diseases….”
Dr. Miller has been with the University of Minnesota since the late 1980s. He is a senior member of the Blood and Marrow Transplant program. He received his MD from Northwestern University School of Medicine in Evanston, Illinois.
