Patients and their immediate family members may cash checks of up to $20.00 per day at the Cashier’s Office located on the 2nd floor of the Phillips-Wangensteen Building.

Hours are 8:00-4:30 Monday-Friday (Cashier’s Office closed
1-2:00pm each day). A picture ID is required, the patient’s unit and room number are helpful to have available. No third party checks are cashed.

A Wells Fargo cash machine is located in the hallway toward the Mayo Building (west of hospital entrance) up the ramp, on the 2nd floor of the hospital. You may find it convenient to have the use of an instant bank card.

U.S. Bank and TCF Bank also have branch offices located on Washington Avenue S., just north of University of Minnesota Medical Center. Both are located on Washington Avenue between Harvard and Oak Streets.
