Our Nurse Practioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) work closely with the BMT attending or primary physician in planning your daily care. They will work with you both on the inpatient unit and in the clinic throughout the transplant process. PAs and NPs can prescribe medicine and treatment. They assist the attending or primary physicians in writing orders, doing procedures and evaluating your progress. They will examine you, order tests and adjust your medicines in consultation with other physicians on your team.
